Meet Deyanira, International Account Manager at Sublime

Hi, can you say a few words about you?

Most of the people (especially in France) call me Deya. I come from the North of Mexico, Sonora. I’ve lived in Paris for almost 3 years. I came to do my master’s in digital marketing in Alternance which allows me to study and work in Sublime.

Can you tell us about your position at Sublime?

I am Key account Manager for the Latin American region; I mainly work on a B2B with a Mexican agency that works for various Latin America brands and agencies. I am the intermediate of the agency with our creative studio and operations teams. I am also in charge of the follow up on campaigns and the agency’s day-to-day requests.

Can you tell us more about your background, as you are from Mexico? 😊

I did my first years of school in the USA up until I was ten which allowed me to become bilingual since a very young age. My family and I then moved back to Mexico where I continued my studies and graduated from an International Business School in Mexico. I have always been very adventurous and independent and never been afraid to chase after what I want. It led me to decide to come to France in 2018 to indulge in the culture, language, and travel around Europe. I wanted to see if France was where I wanted to do my masters. Of course, like many, I fell in love with Paris and everything in it and the rest is history.

What are your favorite things in Paris?

I love a lot of things about Paris, it is complicated to choose a few but mainly I love the effect Paris has had on me since I arrived, it has made me more grateful as a person to live in such an amazing city filled with culture, art, and history. I really appreciate the opportunities the government provides to you as a student in France, I think in general French people have advantages only a few countries provide. I love how international it is and how it has exposed me to meeting people from all over the world and their culture. I see Paris with tourist eyes every time and it really doesn’t get old no matter how long I have been in the city, every time I see the Eiffel Tower blink at night it is breath-taking.

What are your secrets for a happy life?

Gratefulness, not taking for granted my everyday blessings.

What are your passions?

I love to meet people with different cultures, languages, and different mentalities. I find this is the way we see the world and grow as human beings. I love art and music. I love the ocean, growing up close to the sea I fell in love with it since a very young age. I think I could consider it a passion. Visiting museums and indulging in different historical times and cultures gives me the travel-in-time feeling that is priceless for me.

What do you love best about your job?

I love being a part of the success of a campaign, being able to learn so much from a field I didn’t know about. I love working with my team, they are people who have taught me a lot and I continue to learn from what they do.
