Interview Julia

Hi, can you say a few words about you?

Hi! My name is Julia and I have been an apprentice Graphic Designer at Sublime for almost two years now. Thanks to Sublime, I follow a course in Artistic Direction at the Multimedia School in Paris.

Can you tell us about your position at Sublime?

I am a Graphic Designer, in charge of producing and designing creatives for multi-device ad units (desktop and mobile). I work for a variety of clients in several languages: French, English, Spanish, Italian…

During my first year at Sublime I had the chance to take part in the Creative Workshops, with my manager Julien and the sales team. The Creative Workshops are organized by Sublime with the brand and its creative agency to discuss about the creative options and make sure we create the best format, depending on the advertiser’s objectives and brand strategies. It was really interesting and a big step for the young apprentice that I was. Today, I can take part in client calls on my own and represent our Creative Studio. It is very important for me because these experiences allowed me to grow and gain self-confidence. I was also able to prove my determination and commitment within my team but also with Sublime in general.

Why did you decide to join Sublime?

I will always remember my job interview with my future manager Julien and future colleague Nicolas. I immediately felt at ease and the atmosphere was joyful. I was also looking for a company where I could learn and develop at my own pace, and I was right to follow my instinct because the Creative studio welcomed me and taught me everything I needed to learn, always in a happy mood!

Why did you choose to be a designer? What attracted you?

Since I was a child, my grandmother made me do a lot of manual work, and I loved it! Drawing, painting, sculpture… I have always been a dreamer, trusting my imagination. Therefore I decided, after my high school graduation, to follow a MANAA (French Upgrading in Applied Art) and continue on the creative path. Graphic Design became obvious for me as it requires both inventiveness and innovation. It allows me to always go further, to imagine and think bigger.

Your motto in life?

“Good things come to those who wait”. You should never lose hope, keep believing in your dreams and in yourself.
